Books are an enormous ocean and we often find ourselves in a situation in which we buy a book and it turns out to be not as good as we had hoped. For this reason, I decided to share with you my most favourite book which is intended to be a spiritual guide with practices for personal growth, and also a look at the author's own spiritual journey.
From the very beginning of our lives we are put out onto a wheel where we are constantly running in pursuit of happiness. We are constantly chasing dreams, money, desires and we rarely truly ask ourselves what we really want in life. Pursuing a career, status or a certain recognition from society is not bad, it is a drive that keeps us going, but it is exactly in those ambitions where we sometimes lose ourselves. Our experience of life is just limited to this body and mind, but these are just things we've accumulated over time, so then who are we? What is the nature of our existence? Well, ‘Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy’ doesn’t give us the answers but helps us become more aware about ourselves and the world that’s around us.
Through ‘Inner Engineering’, Sadhguru talks about desire, the nature of joy, the mind, the body, what it takes to live a life of fulfilment and is the perfect read for anyone who is interested in growth, inner transformation, happiness, fulfilment, spirituality or just life itself.
